Richard J. Henry is the senior vice president and managing director for the Philadelphia and Delaware markets of Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth®, which is dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and families with investable assets in excess of $20 million. In this capacity, Mr. Henry manages the five lines of business that deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions to this unique market segment. He also serves as the chair of the Account Review Committee and is a member of the Investment Review Committee.
Prior to joining Hawthorn, Mr. Henry was a vice president and director of the Wealth Management Group of PNC Advisors in the Philadelphia and South Jersey market. In this post, he was charged with overseeing the investment process and performance of this region's portfolio managers and respective client accounts.
Mr. Henry joined Provident National Bank, now The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., in 1983. In the past 25 years, Mr. Henry has led a broad-based, diverse set of teams in the delivery of Internal Audit, Finance, Mutual Funds, Trust and Financial Planning services. In 2001, Mr. Henry was a recipient of the PNC Bank Performance Award, the corporation's highest honor for service.
Mr. Henry's community service has included serving as President of the Board of Delaware Valley Habitat for Humanity and Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of the Opera Company of Philadelphia. Mr. Henry is also a member of the PNC Corporate Contributions Committee for the Philadelphia market.
Mr. Henry is a graduate of LaSalle University, with a bachelor of science degree in accounting and marketing, and a master's degree in finance. Mr. Henry is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Financial Planner.
