Cary W. Greenspan, CMT is the senior vice president and managing director of investments for Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth®, which is dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and families with investable assets in excess of $20 million. In this capacity, Mr. Greenspan is responsible for managing and enhancing the consistency of Hawthorn's investment offering and leading the efforts on investment training and compliance for Hawthorn’s investment advisors. He chairs the Hawthorn Investment Review Committee and is a member of Hawthorn’s Investment Policy Committee, which is responsible for reviewing current global economic and financial conditions and approving asset allocation recommendations.

Prior to joining Hawthorn, Mr. Greenspan served high net worth clients as a regional director of investments for PNC Wealth Management® where he was responsible for all PNC Wealth Management investment activity in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, central Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. Prior to this role, he served as senior investment advisor for PNC Wealth Management, evaluating the investment objectives of high net worth clients and the subsequent development and implementation of investment strategies to uniquely suit each client’s needs. Mr. Greenspan also served as president of his own registered investment advisory firm, Cary W. Greenspan Investment Management, LLC, and he began his career as a broker with Kidder, Peabody & Company.

Mr. Greenspan is a member of the Washington Association of Money Managers and currently serves on the advisory board for the McIntire School of Commerce.

Mr. Greenspan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in commerce, with a concentration in finance, from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in financial management from Northeastern University in Boston. He has also received a diploma from the National Institute of Real Estate.
